Sdao Workshop in Aug
Our first Guest Speaker Seminar, August 11 & 12, 2007

Thanks to your generous support, we completed construction of our fabulous 4800 sq ft Training Building & Visitors Center at the end of July 2007.

I hope each of you gets to come out and see us. Whether you're volunteering, attending a special event or coming to a dog training seminar, it's a beautiful, fabulous building. We all love it!

As you walk in, the first thing you see is the huge mosaic Café Woof sign in the hospitality area. There is fresh coffee brewing and cookies, muffins, granola bars and even, on some occasions, donuts to welcome visitors.

Through the window and the lovely French doors, you can see trainers in the main 3600 sq ft training area working dogs.

Columns
One of the mosaic columns created by our staff

Visitors are often impressed with the six mosaic columns framing the room. Inspired by the architecture of Antoni Gaudi of Barcelona , Spain , where some of I and our Training Director Becky McClintock have taught training seminars, these columns feature colorful, fanciful mosaics that delight the eye and spark the imagination. You’ll meet the artists themselves when you visit because our very own staff created all of the fanciful tiling.

THSD’s Training Building & Visitors Center is not your everyday industrial dog training warehouse. This is a piece of our hearts built with attention to individuality and warmth in addition to dimensions, air conditioning capacity and plumbing.

The Visitors Center is available for rental for children’s birthday parties, conferences and other events.  Featuring 3600 square feet in the main area, it boasts a state-of-the-art audio visual system including a 14 foot screen and ceiling mounted projector. It can run everything from movies to Power Point presentations to music to a website.  It also has a kitchen area for light catering.

Tours
THSD offers tours to students and other groups.  Tours include a video presentation, meeting the trainers and a tour of the kennels.

Minimum group – 10 people

Price:  $4/child; $6/adult
