- We've come a long way in nearly 20 years of serving Texas!
- 1988 Attorney Sheri Soltes founds Texas Hearing Dogs to train dogs to alert deaf Texans.
- 1992 Service Dog program added to train dogs for Texans living with mobility challenges. Name changes to Texas Hearing and Service Dogs.
- 2004 THSD buys 6 acres in Dripping Springs, Texas, near Austin for training campus.
- 2005 THSD pays off the property and builds first of 3 10-run kennels.
- 2006 THSD starts construction on main Training Building & Visitors Center.
