Texas Hearing and Service Dogs’
Mighty Texas Dog Walk Results!
Dogs crossing the finish line:
8,333!
Nearly double last year’s total, but still short of the World Record. Looking at the dog bowl as half full, our progress is amazing. With the awesome turnout we had this year magnified by word of mouth, next year’s win should be in the bag!

We've been getting such a great response from our several of our walkers, we thought we'd share them with everyone!
Just wanted to let you know the Dog Walk was wonderful this year, the weather was the best, which I know you had no control over, and all the bad things from last year were corrected, with a loving touch. The volunteers were so happy and joyful with lots of water for all. It's always a wonderful site for veterans and new comers to see all these dogs, getting along so well, and a good time is had by all.
Thanks for all the work you , the staff and volunteers, do for this event.
We had an absolutely, as Ditto the dog would say, barking good time. See ya next year.
Peace and Love

When I talked the 3 new walkers (neighbors) into the walk by stating positive facts:
- The t-shirts are great quality - not like some of the other walks, that fade in less than a year or shrink.
- How HEB is so generous with goodies - and other vendors - they couldn't believe how much we were offered. We each left w/2 canvass bags each. We walked them back to the car b/4 the walk. China was happy to see the den ta bones, she likes them. Really any bone..not picky.
- One was really surprised that that many dogs got along. They have a new lil puppy (American Bull Dog and Labrador mix) 4 months old. The puppy could have gone another mile or so.
All for $25 early reg. They're hooked.

Hello. My wife and I (and our Rhodesian Ridgebacks) really enjoyed the walk Saturday. The weather turned out perfect. This was our first time and we hope to be able to participate again. I am probably being too anxious but would like to know the dog count.
Congratulations for a job well done, Saturday and always.

We did the walk on Saturday and had a lot of fun. I sent this message (below) along with the photo of my husband with Andy to our staff. I thought you would enjoy it too.
We are very happy to be able to support you and thank you for all you do to make a difference.
Warm regards,
Emma, Ken and Andy

When asked for a comment Andy responded "This is a great event. It was dog eat dog out there at the beginning, but everyone found their pace. I would like to thank my sponsors especially for carrying me for part of the way. I did not realize the 3 mile walk would be so hard on my legs. I hope in some small part others will draw inspiration from my taking part. I am feeling good now and ready for the next challenge".
