BACKSTORY

     The Rebellion has just begun on a handful of small planets.  Some of the out of the way planets don’t have any meaning to anyone, but the Empire has certain interest in a couple of these fledgling planets.  One in particular holds special interest to The Emperor and Lord Vader. The planet is only called XTIP798, due to the remoteness of this small rock floating in space.  It is rumored that a lost ancient Sith holocron is hidden away after the vessel carrying it crash landed when shot down by pursuing Old Republic Jedi generations ago.

     The information and teachings of the holocron are mostly unknown, but were held by Darth Raven himself.  The information that could be acquired from this would be paramount to the new Sith Lords in their quest to rid the Galaxy of the Jedi threat and the remaining Republic Senate. 

     The small bands of rebel fighters have been a growing thorn in the Empires side since the end of the Clone Wars.  Unbeknownst to the Empire, this small band on XTIP798 has found help from seven Jedi on the run from Lord Vader and his legion of Stormtroopers, the 501st.  Lord Vader has dispatched his legion to the planet surface to wipe out the rebel scum, and to locate the lost holocron.   When the 501st touch down, they find that the rebels have dug in deep and are well barricaded in their installations.
