In The Groove, Meet Our Newest Service Dog Team: Bruce and Groove

Originally from Harris County Pets, Groove won our hearts the moment he stepped onto our campus. A smart, loving dog, he excelled at task work and just like Olympic Gold Medal winner Alysa Liu, had a blast doing it.
We matched him with Bruce Brim, as a Successor Service Dog to Bruce's first SDI Dog, Jax, also a Shepherd mix. Following treatment for a benign brain tumor, Bruce has lived with right side weakness and walking challenges for nearly 40 years.
Groove arriving from the shelter 6 days before Christmas
Bruce and Groove completed Team Training here in February and are currently back in Bruce's home town of Dallas. We'll be driving up there weekly for Bruce and Groove's 3 months of In-Home Training.
We look forward to updating you on their progress in Dallas. Bruce's dream is to take his sourdough bread and cookies to the local farmers market. You may just see a Groovy sidekick under the table!
