A diving accident left him paralyzed at 15. Devastated, overwhelmed, Austin was in a dark place. Then he got his Service Dog Peaches. With Peaches by his side, he found the courage to move out on his own and enter college. Watch his story below:
This year, Austin graduated from the University of Houston at Clear Lake with a degree in Computer Science and is pursuing his Master’s in Cyber Security. Peaches continues to inspire, support and empower him. And wait til you see the circle of fans they’ve both attracted on campus!
The Transformative Impact of Service Dogs
Service Dogs Inc. trains and provides Service Dogs to people with disabilities free of charge. These specially trained dogs assist handlers with tasks such as picking up items, opening doors and operating light switches.
