Service Dogs Inc.’s Trainers Academy specializes in teaching professional dog trainers interested in moving or advancing in the field of training Assistance Dogs. This series is not for beginners. Students should:
- Be familiar with the terminology, theory and application of positive reinforcement based operant conditioning
- Have experience training a variety of dog breeds and problem solving
- Have worked with multiple clients in both basic and skill building classes
Each class offers a 5-day event at our Training Center. Classes are offered only once a year and enrollment is limited to 24 students per event, so register early!

Assistance Dog Training for Professionals
May 3-8, 2020– New Date is TBD. Dates are postponed until further information is available on the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Offered annually, this is the core course for the Service Dogs Inc. Trainers Academy and a pre-requisite course for all other classes. It is an intensive hands-on class where attendees work with Hearing and Service Dogs currently in training at Service Dogs, Inc.
