Abandoned at a Homeless Camp
She's Home Now
With 29 dogs, including 7 puppies, we were at capacity for dogs.
But then yesterday morning, we got the call. Lake Travis Police Department Animal Protection had picked up a female black Lab abandoned at a homeless camp.
"She's used to wheelchairs, loves to fetch toys and I think she'd be great for your program," said Officer Andrea Greig.
Tailer O'Neill, our COO and Director of Training dropped everything and drove to Lake Travis to evaluate her. "We'll take her," he told Officer Greig.
Sicily, wearing a collar festooned with daisies and her new Renaissance name, settled into our Muv's House of Love quarantine kennel in time for lunch.
Homeless no more, she's on her way to her new life. And with your help, she'll change someone else's just as profoundly as hers changed 24 hours ago.
Please donate for Sicily's care and training.
