Sourcing Dogs
Animal shelters. SDI evaluates and adopts dogs based on suitable age, health and temperament to become a Service Dog.
Dogs’ Health
SDI quarantines all newly adopted shelter dogs for a minimum of 2 weeks. We make sure dogs are healthy before moving them into our campus kennels with other dogs or into a foster home.
Conclusion
At the end of the 12 week foster period, the foster dog returns to SDI for continued training. Foster Families can still foster their dog on weekends. We also invite you to attend our Team Training Graduation luncheon to meet your Foster dog's new partner and share your experiences with them.
